A guy I know has sent me pics of bucks that he "killed" in the past. Turns out, he found them dead and claimed them as his own. I guess he doesn't realize everybody knows the truth about it....

we have weird people among us....id rather only kill my standard 2.5 year old buck the rest of my life than lie about killing a huge buck

I have no problem eating roadkill if fresh... but would never say I shot it or mount it... that's for sure.

we picked up a fresh road kill buck last season on our way to the deer woods...pretty ironic lol. We watched 2 does run across the road and slowed down to watch them, another car was approaching the opposite way so we gave them a flash of the brights for caution and there he was right behind them chasing! BAM!!! Watched it happen, hows that for fresh road kill! Called DEC and we had a buck in the truck before we even made it to the woods LOL Anyway I would never say that it was a buck I killed or have it mounted, but did cut the head off and keep the antlers...or what was left of them. He was a nice deer with great potential, but his left side was broken off after his brow tine and he had a drop tine on the right that was broken off just after the main beam. We kept some backstrap for us and gave the rest of the meat to a friend of a friend who was in a bad place at the time to help feed his family.
