Will, you're in luck I have some at the house.

Their stuff is AWESOME... windproof, waterproof... etc.

I'm trying to find the email where I ordered it to see what it was.

I have heard nothing but great things. Kodiak Rob uses it alot too, and AK is the hell hole torture site of hunting apparel.

I looked into getting their lightest set as raingear for my trip, but I hear it is hell to walk very far at all in, so I opted for the cheaper and more reccomended Helly Hansen Impertech.

A few friends use it around here for whitetails, it is bone dry, waterproof (actually, doesnt just claim it), and it seems pretty warm.

I almost bought the River's West stuff, but Sportsmans' Warehouse ordered the wrong stuff, so I never got it. But it is waterproof, and looked tough. That was it's biggest selling point, water&windproof.

I have had two sets of it the origional and the LAW stuff. Not looking to bash an americam manufacturer but it isn't for me.Heavy as heck when wet and if you are moving in it to any degree you will sweat your tail off.

I've got the LAW or what is now the mid-weight. Like anything that is waterproof it doesn't breath. It does what it is intended to do very well and that is to keep you dry in the rain. The big benefit of the Rivers West over other rain gear is that it is quiet and nearly indestructible. If you plan on using the Rivers West for stalking or anytime that you're going to have even mild excursion in it you'll want the most vented and lightest weight you can get. If you're going to be on stand, in the wind and mixed freezing rain then you'll want some of the heavier/original weight.

So, would this stuff be a good choice for stand sitting in dry cold weather? (assuming, sleet, wind, rain, snow, etc... it is a great choice)

I bought the Cabelas Super Slam Fleece Parka and Bibs last year after about a 2 year search for some new cold weather gear. Their water proof, quiet, and warm.
