Last season I upgraded to a bear Persist. When I bought it, I noticed that there was a level on the riser. And the sight I bought has a level that comes with it. Anyways I never thought to look at both levels before shooting till today. I noticed that the sight level is dead on while the riser level was way off. I'm shooting quite tight and consistent groups. Every now and then an arrow will veer off on me. But I summed it up to fatigue and generally stop shooting. So, what I'm asking is if anyone knows if it matters much that the riser level and sight level don't match?
put the bow in bow vise (I use a bike vise ), use a 4 ft level on the side of the top and bottom limbs by the limb bolts, move the bow around till its showing level then check your sight and the one in the riser ... make sure the riser shelf is level, i use the string and a small level made just for that ..
I would be more inclined to trust the sight level, after setting 1st, 2nd, 3rd axis. I personally would just ignore that there is a level on the riser at all.
