Rinehart 100 in Sparta WI

Anyone every gone to one of these before? Are they any fun? Anybody planning on going this year?

I was going to meet Justin for the R100 in Sparta, but I have to go to Canada that weekend for a week.

 

It is a blast. If you can make it, by all means do.

 

I toyed with going. It's just too far of a drive and I don't have the time.

 

I had a buddy who was interested in going call me up, so I figured I'd look into it. It would be cool to meet some of the guys on this forum out there.

I probably won't shoot but may go to hang out. There is a cook out at Sparta Archery Saturday evening I will be there.

 

I was asked to go from a coworker. Not sure if I'll be able to do it or not. Would like to.

98% sure I'm going to be there next weekend for both days. Looking forward to this event!

 

Todd and I are going to shoot the course (and some video) on Saturday.

 

I'd love to shoot this one year.

 

Looks like they have one in Monticello, GA in the spring. Maybe next year it'll happen!

Any recommendations on campgrounds around there? They've got Leon Valley Campground and Tunnel Trails Campground listed on their site. It'll just be one tent.

This will be my first ever archery competition. I'm excited, it looks like it will be fun.

 

Leon is a nice campground about a mile from the house. You leave my backyard buck alone !

Yeah, I'm not really in the know for who owns what or even who the popular people are in hunting. I read up on him on his website and he sounds like an interesting guy though.

It always amazes me how many people hunt from around where I grew up and never had any idea. A guy I used to work with even produces a popular bowhunting show and I never knew how invested in it he was. He brought in the first hunting video I had ever seen and it was of him and his family down south hunting hogs.

 

The wife and I will be there both days next weekend. Perhaps we'll bump into you or Justin & Todd.

I just noticed that the R100 is sponsored by BH.com. I'd only ever seen the Elite Archery logo down there before.

 

I'll be pretty hard to miss. I'm over 6'6" with shoes on and am a big guy to boot.

The guy I'm going with, Tony, is probably about 5'6" or something, so it'll be an odd looking pair.

 

Heading out tomorrow night for the Leon Valley Campground. Should be there at around 8pm. Looking forward to seeing you guys Saturday morning.

By the way, when's a good time to get there? When they open at 6:30am or a little later in the morning?
