What I don't get is that NEVER has a communist/socialist establishment been a utopia (except for those in power). This health care issue is ridiculous. Why can't people open their eyes? Look at Canada for crying out loud. Does it work? No. Just like gun control. Look at the countries that have stringent (or full on) gun control. What are the violent crime rates like? Why is it that none of these precedents matter? Why do our legislators think our country is somehow immune to going the way of these other countries?
Yeah, I know how they feel. I didn't like it in 2002 when Tom Delay termed me a terrorist either. Not that I agree with either party anymore but, I think the dems have learned something. Anything you don't like just add the moniker of terrorist to them and it's ok. I was termed a terrorist because I belonged to a labor union. After 9-11 Tom Delay was totally off the wall with what he wanted in the Patriot Act. I'm just glad that they came to an understanding before my nephew had to be my guard at Gitmo. Sorry if I pissed in anyones wheaties but, no one should be using the terrorist word unless they actually are.
Most things I've read point to an increased gun crime rate since their current gun control laws have gone into effect. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they're seeing a rise. Granted this one was one of the first charts I could find to illustrate the trend when I searched, but when I was looking for it, many of the sits I came across were citing the same thing...a trend in rising gun crime.
