So as stated above, this is my situation. I have to shoot with my left eye closed because it wants to take over. Also I can’t shoot for long because stuff gets blurry from me forcing the right eye to do the work.

I can sometimes make my right eye dominant at the peep with both open but it will revert shortly thereafter.

should I just go left handed or should I stay the course?

I am sure I’m not the only one and I know there is some wisdom in this group.
    Thanks in advance!

I'm same but zero use info for you. Many many many years ago I taught myself to shoot instinctive. In other words no sights. That said my sight line is tip of broadhead. In order for me to get accurate target I have to shoot a long 30" arrow.

Most guys would tell you to train your self to shoot left handed, I personally could not physically manage that. Lots of guys use eye patches to block their left eye.

Good luck on what ever you choose. Perhaps barrow a left handed bow off season and practice a few shots every day to see if you can switch

Good idea with borrow and try a lefty. I will do that for kicks maybe at some point. A real bummer, wish I could train that right eye

I wish I could have trained my left shoulder and arm.

I am the same. Shoot right handed and I am left eye dominate. Never wanted to shoot left handed.

I have used a patch to train my eye.
Over the yrs it is easier and easier.

    Started with firearms with a

patch and once I was able to shoot constantly with the left eye closed went to the bow. I have had no issues for a long long time now

    Good luck

It can be done successfully, shoot 1 eyed.

^ there's that. If it's just a dominance issue it doesn't really hurt anything to close your off eye for a few sconds to get the sight picture and let it fly. But if it's a vision problem, you may need to switch to shooting LH.

Back when I was in my 30s, I switched from shooting RH my whole life to becoming proficient LH in one afternoon.
Now in my 40s, I still instinctively do some things like reach for my bow with the (now) 'wrong' hand and have to switch or whatever, but the shooting part itself isn't hard at all.

I was in the same boat. I’m right handed but left eye dominant. Many years ago I waited till seasons end and made the switch to a left handed bow. Best move I ever made. I shoot with both eyes open and am extremely comfortable. It only took about a month of twice a week shooting to become “natural “ with it

Shoot left handed. I am ambidextrous but left eye dominant. I do archery left handed. I still shoot shotguns right handed. But, I put tape over the left lense of my shooting sunglasses to keep the left eye from taking over.
