Hi, I would like to share what I've found is a very reliable and accurate set-up for hunting and target shooting. It is reliable because I have no worries about peep sights moving around, elastics breaking or vision/view issues. It involves a peep eliminator which has been modified and a Trophy Ridge V3 dovetail mount sight. Please check it out at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuJg8Pktu-s Let me know what you think, or let everyone know your special set-up. Thanks, Frank
It is very accurate and as a bonus I know it is not going to move, slip or twist like a peep sight is prone to do at times (and at the worst possible time, knowing Murphy) I'm glad you like it!
Thats prety cool and a good idea if it is as accurate as you say. Wondering why no one has ever done this or came out with something like it.
Looks like a solid set up. Kinda hard to see I like the video what it looks like but I can see how it may be better than a peep.like said abovego get a patent and make your millions.
It is a good idea, but the idea is basically the same as a Hind Sight, so I'm not sure about the patent. Looks like your version does the same thing, but it seems much less bulky. My biggest concern would be the sight picture, how much of the target does it block say at 35 or 40 yards?
The better cheaper mouse trap will always get 'em! Panted it, market it, and make money from it before some jerk capitalize on your ideal.
There was a guy selling pretty much the same thing a couple years ago at the Ohio deer and turkey expo. It seemed accurate but seemed like it would cover up a lot of your sight picture at longer distances.
Thanks everyone! I really didn't expect so much interest. I know that there are other fine products out there and I do like the original Peep Eliminator also. I just wanted to make it work for me a bit better and if I still have any issues with the view, (though it seems much better than before and no problems yet), I will shave a little more off, just make everything a bit thinner. Also, I would like to stress that I am using it with vertical sight pins to further declutter and clear the view. I'm sure that I can also raise the entire front sight housing and lower the pins -giving more open area in the upper half of the view. Frank
The main thing that cannot be stressed enough, I think, is that peepless rear sight setups in general are more robust, especially the all metal ones. They cannot move as easily as a peep sight when jarred or disturbed which, in my opinion, is important in a rough and tough hunting environment.
Not nocking your product by any means, looks very clean and efficient, however, I have found that if more people would serve their peeps in correctly, there would be no issues with movement. And secondly, if utilizing your rear aiming sight, if there is even the smallest discrepency in squareness to the bow, when aiming for longer distances you will have to physically enduce torques on the bow to get thing lined up. (just my .02) Good luck and hope you sell plenty!
I think I can see what you are saying to a certain degree, but I really try to think about any issues, and take care of them to the best of m abilities. One of my main concerns has always been torqueing and I know that torqueing is a serious issue for any bow. I would like to ask you to look at this video to see how I have taken care of torqueing completely. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKj1XZgcVMg&feature=related Please let me know what you think.
