Riddle me this about Uncle Triggers setup(answers page 2)

So I was walking to my stand from the river yesterday and at one point I cross Uncle Trigger's setup at the corner of the field. It's a 20 ft ladder stand with no cover sitting at the corner of the field. Pretty good gun spot through the years for him, but this year there was something different. First the 20 ft stand, he had a 16 ft one there for years. Second there was an 8ft ladder on the back of the tree, this is were the riddle comes in. The ladder is strapped to the tree and the pull up rope is tied to it near the top. I first thought someone was trying to steal the stand, but the ladder is too short. It's 8 ft section of extention ladder.
On my way out I figured it out and laugh my ass off, I gave you a clue, let us see who can figure this bonehead move out.

Why is there a ladder on the back of this setup, what is he using it for?

Without seeing the exact set up I would guess he is using it for backdrop cover by tying it up once he gets in place.

So there is a ladder stand hung to a tree and a seperate 8 foot section of ladder on the opposite side of the tree?

Well if we do some math, he's in a 20 ft ladder stand and there is an 8ft ladder on the back. So he would have to jump 12 ft down and land on a step of a ladder:D

No the ladder stand is all there. There is an 8ft ladder on the back side, and he is using it.

Here are the two clues and it's how I put it together last night. He had his pull rope cut to work for his 16 ft stand, he is using the same one i gave him years ago. On his new 20 ft stand it's too short he cannot reach it. It sits about 8 ft of the ground; he climbs of the 8 ft ladder to attached his bow, climbs back down and then up his stand. Repeats the process coming down.

I have a killer stand about 150 yds down from here, the deer just moved behind his stand to me, I have not seen 1 deer from this stand this year, it's a great place to hunt. I think I know why now, LOL
