Jeff has a thread in the target archery forum that I thought I would build upon. For starters, if you haven't shot the R100, DO IT because it's fun. Saturday we: Stephanie (My G/F), Jeff (GMMAT) and myself shooting the African targets and today we shot the North American side with the addition of Page Jeff's friend who might I had was pleasure to shoot with and a hell of a shot. I'll let the pictures do the talking, did I mention it was FUN. The official Score Keeper Two Dufus's. Dufus was the word of the Day on Saturday. Jeff with some Trad action Yep that's me and Yep that's a bear sitting on a toilet. Both were targets. Jeff playing GhostBusters Some kewl pics: Stephanie downing a Booner Letting the Bear stretch it's legs Jeff bearing down Jeff figuring out which pin to use, (He's shooting a recurve) Heck of a group and heck of a Deer Kick A$$ target This one is different. Shoot the deer for a normal score and the apple is the second target. Jeff and I were successful in hitting the apple for a 24 point score. A neat shot, under the tree and through through the woods...
Looks like a lot of fun. I've heard nothing but great things about the R100s. Makes me want to get back out shooting again.
I would love to shoot one. Everytime I see one of these, I check the schedule and them figure out that I can't make the closest one to me.
Guys I can't stress enough how much fun Stephanie and I had this weekend. I was a little intimidated when Jeff brought his friend that just so happens to be the NC state Trad champ. But Page was an awesome guy and a pleasure to meet. Of course with Jeff the BS is always fun, and might I add not to shabby of a shot. And Stephanie kicked our A$$E$, but she was also the scorekeeper, funny how that works out, LOL!
I ended up with a 459 today and a 399 yesterday for a total of 858 overall. If I remember correctly you took me overall by 15 points.
It looks like you guys had a great time. I have to make one of those some time. Looks like a lot of fun. I missed the one here in MO, they had it during turkey season I think. I saw some pics of some that shot it and what a mess. It rained all weekend. At one target they were standing in a foot of water pulling arrows.
That's some pretty damn good looking form there Brandon and Jeff, the elbows look great when drawed back!! Stephanie looks like she was having a blast too Brandon, nice looking lady you got yourself there. Well done guys and girls (girl), damn I miss this type of stuff (3-d shooting). Jeff and Brandon, you are lucky to have this many shoots down in your area. I also gotta say that them targets look very realistic also, top notch for sure.
