Just want to let you lads know, Team Spi11 is gunning for your title. And, if you know anywhere where we can hunt little deer-like those bebes you have killed in the past, please let us know. Our goal is not to embarrass y'all too much.

    Broke a leg, Gents!

First off, it’s quantity, not quality that wins this. If you would really like to know where there are tons of deer just give me a yell and I can put you on a few.

I’m always game. In other words, I’m your Huckleberry.

    How have you been brother?!!

Goodluck to you sir! It’s gonna take a lot more than luck to beat this team though… this team is made of stone cold killers… even if some of them are tiny lol

I’m having trouble deciding what to do. I have been sick for a little over 5 weeks now. It started with some kind of intestinal inflammation, which was miserable. Just as I was getting over that I caught a respiratory bug. While I had that I was helping my new neighbor frame his house. I managed to work myself into acute bronchitis and acute sinusitis.

I am just now beginning to feel better. I’m still coughing occasionally, especially at night but mostly I’m weak.

Missouri’s opener is Monday. I managed to go and put out three cameras yesterday and I was drained.

Another problem is that trees are down all over the roads on the new place and I can’t access most of it at this time.

I really want to be in a tree Monday morning though, even with the high temps ring in the 90’s next week.

I’m not sure if I’m stubborn enough to do it or not.

As my great aunt used to say, "it'll heal up and hair over" probably doesn't apply here actually, come to think of it.
Just get better and rested. Then on your command, unleash hell.

I am good, LC. And thank you for your kind offer. I will see how the season progresses. I may take you up on your offer. I have a tag for South Dakota and Ohio...nothing else. This is the first year in my life that I did not draw a deer tag in Colorado. Good Lord, I have seen plenty of deer while helping others hunt for their deer and elk. I help a disabled hunter muzzle load a deer, and I have put a bow hunter within bow range of 5 mulies. So, I guess I did my job. It sucks that I have merely a bear tag. I have a trip planned for Hungary in November. If I successfully arrow a Central European Mouflon, I will have the last wild sheep I need to complete SCI's World Hunting Award. I started bow hunting in 1985. What an amazing journey it has been! There is absolutely nothing better than combining adventure and discovery while carrying a bow!

You know, one of these days you need to come hunt with me! Bring your entire team! All y'all have an open invitation.

Now that I've gotten gear, arrows, and broadheads squared away after my hunt, I realized a few things. Firstly, my first deer killed in an opener and seeing a buck on opener. Next up, really enjoyed my new Novix. Comfy and more roomy than my assault 2. Also put a mark on it for 1st deer out of it. Lastly, I really, truly had a fun hunt with no pressure, nothing I forgot, on a set up that I hung the night before. I gotta talk about the ones that everything just seems to line up too, right? I'm not bragging either, just humbled and thankful.

Plus we have a title to defend. So there's that.

We will continue to set the standard. Participation and tagging out. We will show how well that works one last time.
