I'm having a nice break from the woods, but I'm getting itchy to shoot a doe. I should get my meat back this week and my taxidermist said I was 47th in line and it would be over a year to get my mount back.

 

Great taxidermy guys are worth the wait from my experience. You get what you pay for when it comes to the quality of the mount also. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

 

I looked at a lot of his work while there and talked to some repeat customers with nothing but praises. Everything looked top notch. He told me he was about to stop taking anymore this year. Glad I got in.
I'll definitely post here when it is done.

 

I haven't had a mount done since 2000, Chief. I just couldn't resist this time. Too good of a story with that buck

 

I have yet to get my mount back from last year. But I'm in no hurry. This guy is one of the best in the area and his work is top notch. Unfortunately he is near retirement so it is unknown how many more years until I have to find someone else.
