Funny how much I love the suffering of all this. I'm out here like I owe 50 points or something. Nah. I'm out here cuz I love it. I'm sore from walking this mountain. Still at it. I know there aren't a ton of deer or big bucks here. Still at it. Should've named this team "Still at it" because we hunt so hard and love all it throws at us.
I'm gonna focus on a doe for us over the next week. Odds are about even on a bonus buck at this point. I'm asking permission on some other spots further down the mountain. Some banger spots on paper and on foot.
it’s only going to get better for you as you keep acquiring access in that area. Definitely will be good for couple filled tags every season
One of the spots I'm excited about is my uncles old place. It's not a huge property, but has at least 6 great locations for stands. Ridges, saddles, transitions, funnels, the works. And, AND, I could park at the house and walk a couple hundred yards on a nice gentle down hill slope! Unheard of! Hahaha
You ladies need to stop killing does...your future depends on it! I know, I know, it's all about having fun, but geeeezzzz, enough is enough!
May not get out again till Thursday. Really need to dedicate some extra time around the house and take a bit of a break. Supposed to cool off as the week progresses. I still have plenty of time and rut is really almost full swing for the boys. I haven't seen any chasing, nor anything to say does are hot yet. I still have plenty of time to get a doe or bonus buck.

Hunting in the morning for a few hours. 20 degree drop and high winds overnight. Should be pretty good and I still have a good buck hanging around. I'll get out Friday and Saturday as well
