That 8 would get the Ole stiff shaft to the pumper. Interpret that how you will.

I get up at 0430 to catch a couple flights to Montana tomorrow, which happens to be the opener here as well. I don't really have any plan at the moment anyway, but I still would love to get out there, even if I got skunked. Be back next Saturday, so Sunday I'll do an evening hunt if the weather is OK.

Well boys took ten months but I just dropped off the skull plate and antlers to my Taxi. Shouldn't be long now!
Time to focus on mission at hand

I put up two standing on a property i haven’t hunted in years. Drew a antlerless tag for the unit and figured it would be a spot to take some pressure off my main NY ground. I might fill both my antlerless tags there and on hunt home base when things are prefect.

On another note. My some finished his hunter safety course and I am going to take him to Illinois for the youth hunt over columbus day weekend. We need to cull some bucks there and he will have a shot at dandy or two.

I’m officially ready as far as my stands and access go. I spent 2 1/2 hours tonight clearing the field edge for my access to 4 stands. Vegetation grew like crazy in the last month and had to tame it down. Planning on fine tuning the x-bow tomorrow and washing gear on Sunday. Almost there!! I’m soooooo ready !!!! Started a new project at work today that is 15 minutes from my house and no one lives there yet which means I can start at 5-5:30 and be done by 1-1:30 and in the woods by 3. No vacation time needed and hours in the stand. Feeling good!!!im most likely going to be the last one starting here but am ready to slay me some!!! GO BIRDS!!

It's supposed to be raining all day tomorrow which is perfect for trimming out my last 2 stands and checking the cameras

Glacier park is really beautiful country. We've seen bears, goats, sheep, just missed seeing a moose on a trail by about 30 seconds. It's really hard to capture the scale of it all with a camera. Stunning.
