And because I did it without sedation I'm going to make it to the volleyball game tonight Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
I had a reaction to a antibiotic so it was actually perfect that I wasn't under or I would not have been able to tell them Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
I was totally awake when they put mine in. Weird sensations to say the least. You’ve still got one procedure left though so
You have one too Johnny? I was in boot camp in 1982. I think we are less than a year apart. What happens when you get buck fever? I almost hyper ventilate on some of the one's I've taken.
I had to have one put in to regulate my heartbeat when I was running. I had to take six weeks off in the middle of training for my 2016 marathon because of this thing. Where deer hunting is concerned, my heart doesn’t give me any problems. My problems happened when I was running and my heart rate stayed at around 150-160 bpm for an hour or longer. It would suddenly get erratic and drop to an irregular 70 bpm and I would almost pass out. It often happened the day after a run, and once my heart stopped for 5 1/2 seconds. (I was wearing a monitor at the time). I did hit the floor in my office at St. Jude that time but didn’t totally lose consciousness. Now that I don’t run any more I almost don’t need it. Edit: You’re right. I went to boot camp in 1981.
Well guys, Adam is out there with no ability to post here… I’m betting he puts some points on the board for us today… Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Since I'm hunting in the morning now, I need to head down to my spot today to hang my stand and clip 2 limbs. I absolutely hate setting up in the dark, especially in a new tree. I didn't want to say anything, but I know I'm going to be about 100 yards from a buck bed and I'm between him and the only oaks that are dropping acorns. He will have to be a dandy for me to shoot him tho. I'm really just after a doe.
These nonresident prices are getting ridiculous. My prediction, coming in the next 3-5 years, nonresident license sales are going to plummet in many states because it has become so expensive it is not worth it. Revenue will drop for state agencies and to offset this, resident license costs will skyrocket. It is already happening in western states that offer more species than whitetail. For example, Wyoming, where I am buying elk and antelope points to hunt those species, raised nonresident elk tags from around $550 to a little over $800 this year. The result, 20% less nonresident tags applied for. These game agencies are going to price themselves out of business.
It gets even more frustrating when in states like NC, there is no real visible return for any increase. Public land here is mostly forgotten by the state. They make no improvements, no clear cuts, no food plots, and access is still very limited. At least where I live and hunt. There are miles of untouched old timber. Just a sea of it. I should probably research what, if anything, is done to improve public lands here, but I just never saw it before and still don't now that I'm back here.
Here is a nice 2 1/2 year old… he might tempt me if I see him… he will be a goodun if he makes it till next year. Pretty sure he is the same one I saw last year as a great 1 1/2 year old ….
