As an IT dork I carry both iPhone for security and adaptation and android for personal. The first thing I do after I buy a android is wipe the OS and install my own without back door access and the gaggle of crap they use to track and slow you down. iPhone not only won't allow that but they scan your phone constantly(don't believe me jail break it and see hows long it takes for your hand slap)

Yes, very soon it will be time and I plant to do my best to stack a few up.

I may get off to a slow start but I’ll get there.

Since I have small parcels around here, I think I'm just going to start asking everyone I know around here for permission. Moving back to where I grew up has advantages. I may not kill a big buck here, but I hope to fill a freezer.

Now our weather forecast shows a cold front right before Saturday. Never had that happen on an opener. Hmmmm

I realize that meteorologists can’t accurately predict the weather, but I’m liking the extended forecast for the Missouri opener on the 15th.

Traditionally I have sweat running down my back here during the first week.

That will be me on Friday… high of 90, and of course for Saturday there is a 10degree drop, but I have to help move my grandparents and then I’m off to a family “vacation” for the week of it being in high 70s… maybe they will be moving before the front though!!

Did a quick in and out last evening to pull 2 of my cards. Seems like 2 of my regular bucks have still been around but at the other end of the farm. Image1693989258.421313.jpg 00000004.JPG
Tons of does and fawns around !!
I figured all the bucks I was seeing wouldn’t stick around until season started but glad to see there seems to be 2 that call it home. I’m starting to feel like the big nine point is going to be the one I will get an opportunity at. IMAG7214.JPG
These 2 seem to be the home boys!!

Well most of my bucks are out of velvet now and certainly changing to their fall patterns. Have a few of my good deer still hanging around some early season sets so just hoping they stick with it for another couple weeks. The drought is certainly kicking our butts up here in Wisconsin with food plots not doing well, but thankfully the wet spring allowed for a great acorn and apple crop.

Watched some of John dudleys podcast with Troy fowler (ranch fairy) this morning and Dud thinks Troy's form is trash. Lol. I know everyone thinks Troy only pushes heavy arrows, but the dude has always said accuracy first. I think people gloss over that when trashing his ideas. Anyway, I had time to kill and I was bored.
