I lived my dream for 4 years. After all the co-pays and deductibles we got hit with, I can't keep the dream and pay the medical bills. We put our place on the market earlier this year and the realtor called today and said that family that has been by twice is putting in an offer this week. They (the other family) knows what it's going to take to get the place, so I suspect they will give me what I want. I know they have to be settled on a purchase by 8/22 (when the teachers go to work) as the wife is the new principal.
I'll be glad if the realty game is over, but not so happy about leaving here. We've located a home that meets the insurance company's restrictions and it'll make the wife happy, but sure going to miss the peace and quiet of the countryside.

Sorry bro! I know I love the country too and would drive me nuts to live away from it. I am back in town too and will be going back to country I hope soon! A small town helps though!

Thanks, hate to move but if we don't live w/i 30 minutes of a VA Hospital or Military Hospital, we have to pay co-pays and deductables. They closed the VA Hospital 16 miles up the road a few years ago and the insurance co. didn't do anything until last year. I've griped about how those of us that lived close to the hospital that closed should be grandfathered in, but the insurance co. is adament that will not happen. Guess it would affect the profit margin.

Man I'm sorry to hear that bro. I know how much you love it there. I'm glad, though, you are able to get your place sold and found a house that meets all of the requirements. In some ways, that has to be a relief.

I was really wound up about this for quite a while. Then, one day while completely stressed out, I finally came to the realization that life happens. It's better to just accept it when there's nothing you can do about it and move on. It hurts, but I have to move on. Anyway, I can always just show up on Mobow's deck with bow in hand and he'll never notice! lol

    I can hear it now:
MOBOW: "Honey, that is the ugliest garden gnome I've ever seen on the deck. Why didn't you put it in the garden to scare the critters away?"
MRS MOBOW: " I didn't buy that ugly thing! You brought it home, you put it in the garden!"
MOBOW: "Uh-oh! IV figured out where we live! What do we do now?"
MRS MOBOW: "Turn off the lights and pretend we're not here, maybe he'll go away."
