Congrats, Dan. I forgot which Power company you worked for? I'm bearing down on 34 years, but not with the same company. I'm not sure I could've worked for the same place my entire career. Good for you!
Congratulations. My retirement lasted about two years, then I got bored. Got a part time job offer from a local company and I took it. Get to travel, work with good people and make some really good extra money.
My late grandfather did the same thing. Went back to work after 5 years retirement. Me? I retired in 2009 and never have been bored...nine grandkids and one great-grandson, hunting, fishing, woodworking. Many people retire and have no interests, hobbies, etc. to occupy their time.
Plenty of interests and hobbies, hunting, fishing, camping and we travel all over the world. I just enjoy working and being around the guys out in the field. Also, the extra paycheck is nice when something comes up I want. Don’t have to worry if I can afford it.
My company started as Public service Indiana, changed to PSI energy, then Cinergy and it was Duke Energy when i retired ! Hang in there !
Congrats Danno! I turn 60 in October… semi-retired now… I work 3 days a week… glad to hear all is well! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
