Im thinking about getting into bowfishing and have been looking online for information so far. I was wondering if I could use a regular whisker biscuit rest instead of the "bowfishing" one. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I wouldn't see why you couldn't. I shoot a roller rest and straight shaft with a slide for the line. As long as you pay attention to your line and it doesn't wrap around the biscuit you should be fine.

Just make sure its got the very stiff bristles at bottom. A Bowfishing arrow is very heavy fiberglass, so if the rest is well used or dosent have the stiffer bristles the arrow will sink into it!

To be honest... Whisker biscuits on fishing bows dont work at all..... They either wear out too quick, your arrow falls through the bristles, or you cant get your arrows to fly straight. I had a combination of all three and wont use one ever again on a bowfishing bow! Get yourself a Quick Draw rest, you will not regret it!
