After working all weekend got some time to put fenders on this afternoon. Have said this a few timea but i think I'm finally done messing with stuff on this thing for awhile. Bout only thing left that want to do is put a actual bumper on the back.

Here's few before and after. Pretty impressed with myself, really didn't scratch them up much putting them on ha. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Haven't really done much major for while but this week finally got lift put on. Kept goin back and fourth and finally got it done. Local shop put it on cause had them align it and I was outta town all week so it worked out.

Pretty happy woth how turned out, eventually when it's time to get some new tires might go little bigger, got 31's now, jusy more for looks. I like when they kinda fill in little more and seeing as don't wheel it much most of the stuff is for looks haha.

35s are really heavy for a 4 banger. Heck, they're heavy for the Pentastar. When I went from 31s to 35s on my JKU there was a huge difference (negatively) both in acceleration and also coming to a stop. Also, 35s are kind of a PITA to change on the side of a trail. Pretty much the top end of what can be safely lifted and changed by one person.

On my 4.0 TJ I found 33s on a 2.5" lift to kind of be the perfect size. (I think technically 32.5, they were Duratracs and metric.) Gave the rig a very good angle of approach-ability; basically if I was going to scrape the bumper it was too steep anyway and I would have flipped over.

Yea I'm not sure I'll go with 35's unless drop in more power under hood. I mean I'd like to I'm just worried be alot to keep rolling with 4 cylinder unless do some other changed. But who knows when it comes that time I may. These tires have alot of life left in them so it'll be awhile unless find a really good deal.

Been driving around last few days and I'm pretty happy with it. The old springs musta really been wore out cause seems like really raised her up. But I'm getting used to it.

Changing the gear ratio in your axles will close the power/tire gap, you can only get so much out of them though, at some point you'll need more displacement.

Same response, get the right axle ratio for the tires you are using, it'll make huge difference.

If interested, I can help navigate the calculator: http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html

Yea I've actually been looking into regearing it. But that's one thing on vehicles I've never really messed with and don't know much about.
Eventually I'd like to swap axels to something little stronger. But idk like said don't know much about picking that stuff out. But then again there will be only so much I'll get out of it with the engine it has.

You could turn it into a torque monster with gearing if you wanted, but it is a balance between that and retaining some highway speed capability and fuel mileage if wanting it as a daily driver. I'd think you could find some pretty good info about this in some Jeep forums.
My uncle's old '63 CJ5 (3 speed manual) has a Chevy 350 in it and a .538 rear end. It is a stoplight to stoplight beast, but it is pulling some pretty high rpm's in 3rd gear at only 60 mph. And gets about 10 mpg lol.
