Went to a range to try and get bow sighted in... Arrows was flying all over the place could not get any kind of group at 20 yards... I am Thinking on getting a drop away rest...I'm thinking of getting Q.A.D hunter arrow rest cost about 60.00.
.anyone use this rest? Looking to spend around 50.00 or so since I'm brand new to archery...plan on upgrading to better one later on down road...guy at range said rest is shot brushes on bottom are shot

The hunter is a great rest in the price range you gave, so is the tried and true whisker biscuit.
I'm assuming you have the octane rest on there now. Those rest are nothing but trouble.

I had a hunter & it was not that great. Noisy & after about a month of shooting it started not falling. Just spend the money & get the qad pro hdx. It's more money, but when you up grade you can take it off. Or you can get the qad ld for a little less money. It's a good rest to, I have it on my switch back & the hdx on my chill r.

I'd have to agree. I just replaced my Hunter with a Smackdown Pro. It was noisy and fletching contact is a common issue because of the launcher bouncing back.

The NAP Apache is in the same price range and would be a better rest than the Hunter.

For your price range I would give the Whisker Biscuit a very hard look.
Granted its not a drop away but they last and last and last some more.

The Hunter is a good rest and a great value. Just be sure to install it so that it isn't resting on the shelf when in the down position. That will keep it from bouncing back.

As others have mentioned, the Whisker Biscuit is a good choice for your price range as well. Just be sure to get a genuine Trophy Ridge and not a Chinese knock off.

if this is one of your first times out there. i wouldnt upgrade your rest. I believe the infinity edge comes with a whisker biscuit right? you just need to work on your form. it takes a little while to really start making the connection with your bow that you need to be able to shoot tight groups.

No it comes with the octane, which is absolute garbage. The arrow will eventually fall in-between the bristle pad.

Check on AT classifieds. I'm also new to the game and bought a bare Bear. For a rest I picked up a new in package NAP Carbon Apache for I think $55. Only have a few shots through it but so far I'm happy with it.

dont let the price of the revolution fool you. My girlfriend hated it, she called it junk. but i have a friend that has been shooting archery for ever. and he loves his revolution rest. i think it just doesnt work for short draw. just be sure to get the timing right on it.

Just bought a 2015 for my 17yr old daughter in Sept. After she was comfortable with the Bow we put a Whisker Biscuit on it for her. She is grouping so tight at 30yd I have her shooting a 5 spot to save on arrows.

Can't go wrong with the HDX!!! Plus when you up grade the bow you can take it with you.
