Anyone ever swap out their cable guide? I've been shooting my Bear Charge for a couple of years and my cable guide has always bothered me. It's teflon/plastic and it's bright white, so I am thinking of changing to the wheel style or at least a better quality guide that isn't bright white. So with that I have a few questions: Do all guides fit on all cable rods? Any tutorials on how to change them? Do you recommend any rollers/guides over another?
Guides should be standard for most bows. Some are easy, no tutorial needed. Some are more difficult and may require a press. I like this one : http://www.eders.com/products/saunders-hyper-glide-slide-black.html
Every bow that I have owned in the last few years that has a cable guard had a Saunders Hyperglide on it and every future bow will have a Hyperglide on it. It is very easy to change out the slide but most of the time you will need access to a bow press.
