This will be I think the 5th deer season I've used the same harness. I know they say to replace them every so often. Do you guys replace yours after so many years?

I replaced mine last year but only because old one had frayed leg straps from climbing over fence and main buckle had broken tab from slamming it in truck door. Think it was fourth or fifth season for that one. Usually dont get new one unless something wrong with old one.

I usually inspect mine yearly to check for fray or wear. A lot also has to do with how you store it. For example if you store it in an unconditioned space like a garage it will break down faster and be susceptible to dry rot. I keep all mine in a container indoors. The question you have to ask yourself is do I trust my life with this thing because it could lead to that. Usually replace them once every 7 to 8 years. The ones I retire become tree stand hanging belts if they are still somewhat serviceable. And I of course check them before each use for strength/wear

I replace mine every 4 years or so. I keep mine with my hunting clothes in a storage container. I probably could go longer before I replace it.
