I use Muzzy 100g 3 blade broadheads. In the past I've just replaced the dulled ones, but I've been considering trying to sharpen them.

How do you go about doing this? I have a medium grit sharpening stone and a hand held ceramic sharpener. Would those tools work?

I use a Sharpie to color the bevels of the blades, then use pliers to hold the blades and run them across sharpening stones. The Sharpie shows if you are at the right angle, and makes sure you aren't missing spots. I sharpen my Slick Trick blades like this if there are no big gashes or chunks taken out of the edge.

I use a Swhacker HDX3 sharpener on my Muzzy's as well as all other heads/blades. Works great!

I use to shoot muzzy's & always replaced the blades. They are inexpensive & easy to replace. Unless you are a master "sharpener" I wouldn't bother. IMHO.

I sharpen mine when possible. Infact, I sharpen most new BHs too. If I can't get them to shave my arm out of the box, they get some treatment.

This little kit has been awesome over the years:

Stumbled upon this thread and was wondering if anyone has tried a ceramic pointing stone. Me and my dad sell them to sheep shearers to be used when getting a fine edge on their cutters. Just curious if there is something out there like this or if anyone would be interested in one.

I shot Muzzy for a LONG time and I have used a Lanksy Sharpener on the blades (similar style to what Fitz posted). I usually just replace them after a shot though as it seems they always get a nick or gouge after hitting the dirt. That Sharpie trick is a good idea!

I have yet to send one of these Exodus heads through a deer so I can't comment on them.
