For many years, there was a Kentucky law (Kentucky Revised Statute 436.140) that stated:

"No female shall appear in a bathing suit on any highway within this state unless she be escorted by at least two officers or unless she be armed with a club."

Later on, however, this absurd law was amended thusly:

"The provisions of this statute shall not apply to females weighing less than 90 pounds nor exceeding 200 pounds, nor shall it apply to female horses."

Well, I'm sure that much-needed clarification made everyone breathe a sigh of relief.

    Come on page 11. :deer:

Is it 'molesting' if the squirrel likes it?

    No.

It is fine if the squirrel is of age (mature), and it is consensual.

Interesting how this got brushed over..............Where was the outcry??.......where were the noble internet narks??.....The guy in the pics looks a lot older then 19 so he OBVIOUSLY knew better. No follow ups with the law?? No retired war heroes to step in and save the day?? No public humiliation for the poster at all?? No follow up threads detailing and gloating over his punishment??

See bolded portion above for your answer kickin' buck ;)

I have a hard time accepting lectures on virtue and nobility from someone who follows it up with childish name calling that appears oddly dyslexic at that.

Should I start calling you knob now and we can all just regress back to grade school??

Think of the fun we could have with a name like quick :d

You cry about making it personal and then respond with name calling??......apparently my link to the definition of hypocriy wasn't working on your screen.

Rarely have I seen someone willing to dish it out.........yet so unable to any back himself.

    Is that a challenge?

Really when one refers to himself as "the King" is really necessary to come with any other names?

I keep checking back for answers, but so far you are the only one to offer any input why this "poacher" was not turned in by those that feel there are no gray areas in life.

I believe you are correct to a point, the exact reason why I don't play in the deer/turkey contests. However, I also believe the man was not turned because it was JUST a coon, in addition to who he is and who he knows.

I guess I will never know since the hard liners are not willing to step up and offer their opinions.

I am all over it, but being the evidence was taken down, I don't what I can do. Maybe a wire tap, is DS friends with the former Govener of ILL? Is there a connection?
I never read that thread until today, and yes I am outrage. I stop reading his threads when he complained about shooting 140'' deer.

Again no matter what side you are on there is always another side. There would have been outrage if to whom ever was running the contest would not have acted.

In fairness to the contest or any contest. There are rules, we all expect the rules to be followed. It truly is one of those no win situation for anybody. Would I have handled like Rob? To be honest after I gave the kid chance to come clean and he told me to go pound sand, I would put it to the masses. For two reasons 1. He pissed me off 2. For the other 99.9% of the contest folks who got cheated.

It always amazes me how much attention is paid to cheaters, liars and crooks. I may cheat next year just so I can have a ten page post, LOL

There are gray areas in life no one is arguing that point at all, but in this event there is none IMO. In the case of the murdered racoon there is none either. In general I live a black and white life and yes gray ares pop up. I take each situation and act upon it differently, being ever situation is unique.

Pretty much as a hole I am done with poaching on any level. I know there are those who feel it is there duty to end of the suffering animals of the world, and no laws will stop them. I hear they even wear capes, but like the super heros of the Animal Suffering Foundation, I to do not want to see an animal suffer also. So when I get in those situations I call DNR and have them take care of it. If a deer walks by me limping, suffering and near death and I have a legal tag I will shoot it. If I do not have a tag, the animal walks. I let one walk last year, my second tag in MI is restricted in MI and the buck did not meet the restriction. I thought for sure the deer would die, but 2 weeks later he was chasing does.

For my last post on this subject I would like to thank the 400+ other members of the contest who chose to play be the rules and have fun. I am always amazed how we all tend to focus on what went wrong instead of what went right.

You got me there PT, I don't know that he was not turned in.:d I know if he was, it did not go a dozen pages.

Maybe I should PM him and ask if he got turned in or not. Weather he got turned in or not, there are unanswered questions.
    1. Why not all the fuse over him as with LC.
    2. Why is the guy still allowed to post without being damned for his actions every time he hits the post button.

I am just interested in everyone's opinions why there is such an out cry over LC, but not this other guy. I have my opinion why, not saying it is right, but nobody has said anything yet to tell me I am wrong.

Just to make sure everyone knows....I do not feel Rob was wrong for providing an update, I don't feel that the person who turned LC in was wrong/right for doing so.

Taking the step to turn a person in for poaching is very much a personal choice, a choice that I feel is not black and white, but contains a ton of gray area. I have never turned in a poacher (have never been that aware of much poaching). But if we are going to be 100% honest, I would turn a guy in for poaching a deer faster than I would turn a guy in for poaching a coon. I guess that is just some of that gray area for me.

I think most of us fall into that same category. Until we start hearing about Quality Coon Management or Coonmasters becomes a hit show/magazine....deer will get top billing. It's got alot to do with antlers.
