Try the woods, or, a farm.. Good luck with your new location !! Hope you find some beautiful hunting property.
Get on google earth find some properties that look decent and get a plat map and go knocking on doors. Offer to help out or give them some meat! That's what I do when I am desperate. Offer those things if they seem reluctant so you don't screw yourself with extra work hahaha.
I went to tupelo miss and looked at a job a year ago, after a weekend there i decided i would rather stay home. Have you seen Mississippi?
ultramax: You visited the area of Mississippi that has the least hunting opportunities. We kill lots of deer and big deer. I don't blame you for not wanting to live in Tupelo as I don't want to live in that part of the state either, but the hunting in Mississippi is pretty good.
Hey I used to live in McComb, MS for years. A real good area thats public would be St. Catherines Creek over in Natchez its a bit of a drive but its primitive weapon only and has some very nice bucks. Gets a good bit of pressure but its good hunting. Also Mississippi has good 16 section land that is available for hunting just check with the county seat to locate where it is. Homochitto National forest is big but its alot of open timber with not a lot to funnel deer, and it gets downright dangerous during gun season.
