This past summer I switched from a index trigger wrist strap tru ball to a thumb trigger tru ball pro diamond. I liked how the thumb trigger felt, lined up the my arm muscles w/ my hand, and shot. The only thing was that 3 times through the summer I fired a arrow mid draw! Not cool at all! After the last time I switched back to my old wrist strap style, not wanting to risk pre-firing again especially in the moment of truth. Talking w/ a guy at my local club he said to try turning up the resistance on the thumb trigger, which he does to help increase the use of the back muscles for release. I'm going to try it.

Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do to correct it?
Any other suggestions to correct? I've got a week to get it fixed and regain my confidence. Thanks for your input.

I've only misfired a thumb trigger while letting down which is quite common. The key is to keep the thumb behind the trigger both when drawing back and letting down.

Thanks for the advice. I feel like a idiot! While I was drawing I had my thumb over the trigger. I never did that with any other release. I have made the correction. Thanks again. Man do I feel stupid. I should've known better.

I've never had a misfire with my T.R.U Ball Pro Diamond release but I can see how it could happen. I woud just stress KA's words above.
