So I just got my wraps in the mail today and I hope to have my arrows refletched after this weekend. I have a few questions for you guys. I want to take the bulldog collars off is that something I can do with pliers? I am doing this to have my arrows match the new more visible color scheme. Also what is the best method for removing the old fletchings? Is it worth the money to get the tool or can I use something around the house without ruining my arrows?

The bulldog collars just pull right off, no need for any tools to do that.

As far as removing fletchings, I just a very sharp knife. You just have to be very careful as you can damage the arrow by gouging it.

Believe it or not I have used a vegetable peeler to remove fletching with good success. I mostly use a dull scraper but the peeler worked pretty well. Just don't let your wife catch you using it :) .
