Well I refletched my arrows today using bohning blazer shrink wraps. Really easy and seem to work really well, see how long they hold up going thru my whisker biscuit. Also decided to paper tune today considering I had not done it since i got the bow a month ago. Got it all set up and the first arrow at just a few feet was perfect. So backed out to 10 yards, still perfect tears, then 20 yds with a perfect tear. So then i did the ultimate test with a bare shaft at 10 yards, nice perfect little hole. Cant believe i didnt have to adjust anything at all.

I have my bow at a shop getting tuned....stopped in and he wasn't liking the tears I was getting....tail high all day long. He wants me to shoot an even stiffer arrow, and go to 4" vanes, instead of the 2" blazer vanes I have on. He said he could get the dozen I have now to shoot good, just not great. cant wait to get my bow back next week.

Hopefully you report good news on those, they look really convenient. If they work out, may save me some time later on if I want to change. Do they have those in 4" vanes as well?

Not that i know of, just the 2 inch blazers. I could maybe understand a heavier arrow, but I wouldn't think the vanes would cause a upwards tear. Maybe you rest needs adjusting or your nock point. May want to try that first before redoing arrows.

he replaced the rest and the nock point. he said to go stiffer first, but he said it shot better with 4" vanes and the same arrow and weight it was before. not sure, maybe its just my set up. long draw and short ata

I'm shooting 29.5 draw @ 58 pounds with a 340 arrow with 100 grain tips, and it's shooting perfect. Oh also 31 inch arrow.

i'm currently shooting 31" draw, 70 pounds, 340 easton epic arrow, 30" arrow, and 100 grain tips.

i dont know, this guy is a good shop owner and he cant get my set up to tear well without going stiffer, and shorter on the arrow.

I'm still kinda new at all this, but I'm guessing you are underspined, but I still don't think the vanes would matter so much, you get a heavier and maybe an inch or 2 longer, and what ever vanes you want, then if it still is tearing bad hopefully you have a rest you can adjust the elevation on, other wise you will have to move your mocking point up or down just a little, not sure how hard that is to do.
