TIM TEBOW Eat your WORDS. News: Tebow will start Sunday's game against Houston, Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post reports. So, your not only wrong, once...your wrong twice...and I bet more.
While I was planning to post a less in your face pose about this on Sunday, I couldn't remember who it was on this site that said that:D
Yeah! Tebow is starting for a 3-11 team because the first stringer is hurt! Take that rednas!!! Eat your words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahh, I love homerism.
Circumstances aside, there's no definites in sports. I try to avoid the "never" or "guarantee" or "always," etc statements when making predictions. I think many sportscasters should follow the same line of thinking.
yeah, kinda of my point... I also take joy in pointing out to the Tebow haters, that they were wrong. Why anyone would demean or dislike a good kid, is beyond me. I am tired of the thugs and hoodlums being idolized by kids. Tim's a great kid, and I am glad to see him excel.
I hope he takes the opportunity and seizes it. He seems like a great example of what could be. My greatest fear is that he slips up, not on the field but off. There are a ton of people that are just waiting to trounce on what he believes in.
He started out at the third string QB, and now is starting... So, injury or not, he's a rookie who is starting - and the statement was independent of their record or current QB status. So what am I missing? I guess my "homer" level of intellect must not be up to your demanding standards. I'd have to defer to your obviously superior level of intelligence to explain it to me. So, please use small words and speak slowly so I can understand your explanation.
I think you confuse "hate" for people giving an opinion of his skills and ability. Its ok if everyone doesn't think he's a great football player...it really is. I don't think Tebow will be even a mediocore pro QB. It has NOTHING to do with him as a person. Plenty of not-so-good QBs have started in the NFL...almost always for bad/desperate teams. Good for the kid getting his second consecutive start. Never once rooted against him, even though I wasn't a big fan of his college boyfriend.
Tim Tebow was one of the greatest college football players of all time. I wish him the absolute best. He is a GREAT role model and if he does mess up off the field, he has about 10,000 "atta boys" in his personal file already.
Absolutely! I could not agree more. I really pray that he does to the NFL what he did in College Football. Sal
No Vito, what I am "confusing" as you so eloquently put it, is that you keep making references to Tim being gay - why? Because he's a good kid, who has Christian values? Did you miss his Heisman trophy? The fact he shredded many of the NCAA records for a QB? That he was picked up in the first draft? That he is starting now? If my son grew up to be like Tim Tebow, in athletic ability, intellect and demeanor I would be a proud father.
I am a 100% sure his jokes are in reference to the man crush Urban had on Tebow. As an Alabama fan I have plenty of Tebow/Meyer jokes that are not suitable for this site but that does not mean I do not wish the kid the best, he is all that is rifght with sports. My favorite Urban/Tebow moment, when Alabama crushed them and Tebow was crying, then Urban came and hugged him...I got pictures if you want em
Whoa!! Sorry for the delay but 12 hour shifts will do that to ya. I get on here and I'm getting called out!! I'll eat crow for today. I'm glad Tebow started for you Florida! I bet you were sitting on your couch with your Tebow jersey on just cheering away with tears streaming down your face!! Yeah, he started and didn't do too shabby against the Raiders. In my defense, who were the Donkeys gonna start Quinn or their 1st round pick who is getting paid 33 million bucks? I still don't believe he will ever warrant his 1st round pick and 31 other NFL coaches and GM's would probably agree. Inevitably, this is just another reason McDaniels and his terrible personnel decisions got him canned. Lets see how he does this weekend against the 32nd ranked pass defensive team in the NFL.
