I have taken deer with them when they were branded under Rocky Mountains name but haven't had a chance to use a BPS yet. I'll have my arrows tipped with them though and if they perform like their predecessors that should work great.

I bought some to turkey hunt with, but never got to go so I'll try them on deer in a couple of weeks. They shoot well with my set up.

I have not shot my new one from BPS but the old ones where awesome. They fly great and $10 cheaper than most of their competition. They have great reviews as well. No rubber bushings/o-rings either. Great broadhead in my opinion.

I shot them and didnt like them very much. They didn't open up on a deer I shot last year and I barely got penetration. I saw the deer die but I maybe had 7 in of penetration at 22 yds. And one of the blades broke when it hit one of the ribs. I threw them away and bought the NAP bloodrunners and love them.

Soccer where the heck did you hit it?

I'd love to see the entrance hole, please post some photos!

I've been shooting them for almost 20 years now. Killed dozens of animals and have never had a single failure..ever.
But to tell you the truth all I've ever shot are the Rocky Mountain Gator XP heads, maybe bass pro cheapened them up but I highly doubt it because they have a 4.9 star rating out of 5 with 55 reviews!

Just site your bow in with your field pionts and screw these bad boys on and go hunting!
No rubber bands, no gimmicks, they really can't fail. Heck they are built to free float around bone and even in the closed position they still cut.

Mdbowhunter I think you should try them, every friend I've ever had try them is shooting them to this day becasue they work plain and simple. That 2" cut flat out wipes them out and most critters die within site and that makes tracking way easier !

5575 I dont have any pictures at the moment but I hit it about 6 inches behind the shoulder perfectly broadside. It was a crazy thing. I saw more than half my arrow sticking out and it barely came out the other side. It was just the head poking out. My bow needed a new string but it wasnt that bad of shape. I was blown away that I didnt blow through it like I usually do with other heads. They arent for me at all. And it wasnt the blade that broke, I am pretty sure it was the nub that pushes the blade out. I'm glad they worked for you and they are a great price. Im glad it killed the deer but I dont want to take the risk with them again.

mmm that sounds really odd, do you have a photo of the broken broadhead?

Here's the penetration I got from a slick trick that everyone likes to brag about. 15 yards broadside, I almost fainted when I saw the penetration I got, but he ran 75 yards and tipped over. The head was so mashed up and blades so dull you would have sworn they were aluminum! Weird things happen some times I guess!
    Anyways have a great fall!

I didnt take a picture of the broadhead. But I got maybe as much penetration as you did with that buck laying on the ground with the arrow sticking out of it. And I hit him a smidge further back than you did. They were extremely sharp as well.
