    I have real high hopes of shooting a good buck this weekend especially after my hunt last night. Ended up seeing a real nice 145in 8 pointer. Had two bucks going at it pretty good through the brush in front of me as well.

    This is the buck I saw. He has a lot more mass than the picture shows here it really surprised me.

    Was in the stand for about 10 minutes, had a 4 point come in. I'm hoping for a good night tonight. But the next few days look excellent besides the wind.

    Update: have a spike bedded down 80 yards straight in front of me.

    Update 2: a 5 point came out and was play fighting with the spike. Thought that was pretty cool.

    Well fellas it was nice knowing y’all, I just got home from work and my wife got 3 packages in the mail addressed to me, she got my new Sitka Gear before I could get to it. Had to work late today, good thing I put a new roof on the garage, might be sleeping in it hahah

    So... Road kill is high, big bucks are dropping right and left and this morning is 36°. Which to me means it's prerut folks, with the first cold snap. i just woke up like its Christmas morning. I'm heading into my hot spot which I have successfully stayed out of since June, to have a go at tagging out. Good luck my brothers in arms. For today is what we make of it.

    We have a cold front bringing rain tomorrow with the right wind so I will get a sit in at least for the morning. Seen good deer movement this week and saw a small buck chasing two does yesterday
