It's 73, I have a crappy wind, and the squirrels are everywhere. I'm still up a tree hoping for a doe at the least.

I'm sitting the other side of my property as this mornings card pull in a observation stand but I'm far enough away to take a doe if possible

I kicked a few up on my way in. They always bed directly behind the grass in the thick brush in the middle of my 2 trails into the back.

Had a great night. Dilater was at 300 yards with a small 110-115 8 point. I tried grunting even tho it's early I know. The small eight came under me big boy walked away

No hunt for me today. Storms this morning and a light rain I wanted to hunt in tonight but I have to coach baseball instead.

Can't say as I buy into the Oct lull theory every year but this one I did but this year I made sure to move around so they had no idea where I was and I see action almost every time

I also did the same thing. I hunted one stand a few times but never consecutively. Only had 3 sits without seeing a deer this year.
