Hey guys! Sorry I've been MIA on the thread for awhile I've been working a lot the past few months but still have managed a little tree stand time. Cameras slowed down on the farm a little after acorns started dropping but still have plenty of great bucks to chase the next few weeks. Another weekend of warm weather ahead here in Wisconsin but it looks like a nice front is rolling in Sunday afternoon with some high pressure so hopefully they'll be moving.
One of the best bucks on the farm (score wise) I saw on opening weekend at 60 yards but never got a crack at him. Once of our older bucks that I passed last year has been a major home boy on the farm broke off his main beam on his left side which is a bummer because I know we'll see him in the weeks to come. The buck I was after late season showed back up again and looks about the same size, he's a major bully buck and would love to kill him, hes probably a 6 year old. We have a ton of awesome 3 year olds on camera and have seen a few of them so far this year but there are definitely plenty of mature bucks in the area, hopefully the weather starts cooperating when we get closer to the rut.
Morning y'all. So I stuck a big old smart nanny this morning... Followed blood for 60+ yards and a deer blew at me so I backed out. I know she is dead. I'll have points for us soon
I’m going to try and get out of school a little early tonight (student teaching) the wind is perfect for my best stand. Got a good feeling if I can get in it tonight and tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Ugh I so jealous. Cold front and I'm or of town. Monday morning I'm all in though. Turkey is open then too so I shall reign death upon the Forrest. Or I'll sit in my blind and watch squirrels. Either way. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Got her boys.... I'll get it posted in the score card soon. She might not look big but I'm 6'4 250 lol
Unfortunately my shot wasn’t as good as I thought. I believe I hit her low. I had really good blood then it stopped and I picked up 50 or so yards later. Then I followed it about 300 yards until I stopped. I was unsuccessful at finding her. Sorry to let you down guys. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
