Headed to KY for a couple days of muzzleloader and archery hunting. May get my 50-point doe next weekend on that hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Had a run in with my boy Jeff tonight had him at 40 yards checking a big scrape. He was straight downwind of me the whole time and he never came any closer. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
When I first read this I was confused, then I remembered JEFF, lol. Good encounter, hopefully you can seal the deal one day soon.
Confirmed with fitz that boofs deer will be counted next time they update. There was some issue with photobucket when fitz last updated scores Now we just need a couple more 160 inch deer. Ill be out wednesday morning and evening, hope to at least get 50 points
Man I'm up in the mountains for the wife's birthday and we've got high of 60 and tonights low is 39 and there's a wma about 30 min away. Should have brought my bow and snuck away! I'm going crazy not being able to hunt this cold front Sent from my Z831 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Story time y'all. I chose to hunt right behind my house tonight. Roughly 200 from it infact. I waited all night for her and at 633 I get chance at my target doe. Old fat no kids. I had her at 7 yards but hard angles so I waited. With one step before she committed to broadside my daughter comes busting out of the house singing... And I just laughed as the doe ran. Hard to be mad at a 9 yr old singing Zac Brown band
Don't feel bad, I missed a doe at 30 yards while I was standing next to the porch. Mis judged the distance and when she ducked, it went right over her back as I was using the 40 pin. She was 32 after I went back and got my range finder.
I haven't been on here much lately. I've been slammed getting the last couple episodes finished and videoing some veterans deer hunting before I really start hunting myself. I've been twice so far.....saw three bucks the first sit with a nice 2 year old 8-point...maybe 120s. The second sit was jacked up with coyotes hanging out with me all evening at about 80 yards out. I'm headed to Colorado to video some veterans on a mule deer hunt later this week but when I get back next Wednesday, I'll hunt basically everyday through Thanksgiving. I should be able to put something on the ground by then....I hope. Good luck to all.
I reached out to usmc (Tony) and hope to hear that he is in pursuit of a Booner. Other than that we are all in constant contact and kicking @ss.
When i get home ill have to locate the picture of this guy from last year. Ill bet he put on at least 25-30 inches He was a tiny basket last year His left side makes him very recognizable.
Looks like he busted off part of his right main beam too! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
