Basically we all need to get a doe on the books and if 7 of us (5 more) get a buck and they average around 119 we have a good chance at taking this thing

That sounds doable but man they're dropping some giant deer early. I can't believe the quality deer that have been taken. I'm ready to contribute already!!

I just adjusted what I wrote...I misspoke. But I agreed we can do this. We have a couple great bucks already scoring for us. I know we have some heavy hitters that will step up come rut.

Sorry I haven't been on here much lately. I've been working a lot and haven't much time to hunt. I'll be back out on Sunday and see what happens then. Starting the 24th, I have 16 straight days off, so I should be able to get something going here soon.

I should be good for a 130” + buck, I have the last two weeks ofOctober and the first two weeks of November off. If I don’t make it happen then it won’t be from lack of trying lol. Hunting is hunting tho, nothings in stone

I’ll use a little bit of doe in estrous during the rut just as a cover scent or in a drag. I’ve learned dear get a little wary with scent sticks and over using scents.

I got this guy on one of my cameras. Do you guys think he’s the same buck as this one? The frontal picture is from last year.[IMG]

For some reason I can not upload from my phone which is annoying. The link is to the view from my tree stand.

Just had a skinny 6 pointer come through and feed at 40 yards. Walked right across on of the shooting lanes to a scrape I didn't see. He then walked another 20 yards to freshen up another one.

First time I have seen that not on a TV show. Glad I came out tonight.

Thinking I may move my camera to that scrape and keep an eye on what else is coming by to freshen it up.

Awesome looking deer! I'm getting pumped for the rut! We've got low 50s next week and I'm hoping the weather will continue to cool so I can get some daytime activity. All the beans are yellowed and the acorns are raining down. Time for them to shift food sources

So I had a mamma and her fawns walk by me at about 10 yards. Glad to know that my scent control is working! Decided to let her live since she had some babies with her. She better be careful come the end of the season though!
