Very true, one of my favorite hunting trip memories, no one shot a deer. We hadnt built our cabin yet and were going to sleep in the large steel shed on cots with some heaters going for warmth. When we got there someone (most definitely the previous owner) stole all the wiring so we had no power so we slept in a shed in 0 degree weather with all our layers on including camo. I woke up in middle of night and my face was frozen numb. Then im the morning leaving shed to go to stands there was a large doe about 5 yards from door just staring at me. It was terrible at the time, but worth it for the memories

Its going to be a late night but just hit the road headed to hunting property ib NW Missouri, will br in stand in AM
So far have seen and heard nothing but a choir of songdogs and a couple hounds running the property line. I still have a good feeling about this trip. Think ill be able to put a doe down
Weather wise, i misjudged my layering, needed 1 more layer on, its beautiful cool morning with minimal wind
In a different stand for the evening hunt, pulled and check chips while getting in. 1 buck that id shoot been coming through and a couple does. This is the most successful stand on the property and probably won't get hunted after tonight until around Halloween
Good luck, I too am on stand. A few doe this Am and I’m hunting a different spot on the same farm, hoping the Big 10 shows up, this is where I was getting him on cam. Keep us posted NebMo
