How did he look on the hoof? Seeing him this early in day light means he is shootable

I haven't seen him yet this year but he came into a rattling sequence last year but came from a huge thicket I didn't expect him to come from and he winded me. Saw him a few other times on stand but it didn't work out. He stuck around the property through January so hopefully he does the same thing and I can seal the deal

Pulled cards on my farm where my dad primarily hunts today. More of a farm where deer pass through but has a good crop of acorns on 25 acres of oaks. Only two bucks on camera from about a month and a half I left them.

Think it could be. Punch a carbon shaft thru him and we can take a better look

That definitely could be the same buck. I'm ready for us to start knocking them dead!! We have a week and a half of scorching weather then we drop 20 degrees and the real hunting starts!

I'll be heading out for my first sit of the year tom morning, it's been cool in the am but hitting 80's mid day. Next week for the state wide opener and Ohio opener it's 60's for the high I'm looking forward to puttin in a lot of time in the stand this season.

Looking at the extended forecast here, the front will come through 2-3 days before opener. But it will make it nice an cool in the mornings and highs of 62.
