    Congrats Ben! Way to start the season off!

    My Colorado elk hunt was a bust. 85-90 degree temps during the day had the elk moving at night...if they moved at all. I saw elk one day on my 7 day hunt and I missed a cow at 60 yards. Long story short...there were a dozen cows moving in front of me between 60 and 80 yards. I was dialed in at 70 when I thought I was dialed in at 60. Clean miss right over her back and that was it. I'm ready for deer season.

    Did some work at the property today, chips were just filled to the brim with does, not much for bucks though, that happens on our little property. We hunt cruising bucks
    About 1/3 of the property is bedding area just full of does so we get a lot of bucks cruising at rut.

    Best buck I've got so far and the first pic/vid I got of him. He came to a mock scrape I put up before I left for Colorado. I put a couple mocks out in Illinois as well. I'll hopefully be able to check those cams this week. This guy isn't that great but he might get shot. We'll see what else turns up.

    I've got tons of pictures of him but that was really the only one that was day light where you could see him clear. I actually took a picture of him in the video I got of him
