I've been looking at making these the last week after I found them on youtube. I have one store bought swivel screw in mount and that thing is the best thing since sliced bread. Straps are a huge PITA, they rot, trees grow and break them, etc. I'm still going to use python cables to secure mine from theft and just leave them loose.

Another cool thing about them is I leave them on the tree. So the next year, I just screw the cam on and replenish my mineral and my cam angle is already set.

Ok Patriots, I need to throw something by you all. I have 31 inch arrows and draw is 28.5 for $hits and giggles has anyone chosen to leave arrows long to gain weight?

I have a 30 inch draw and my arrows i think are 29 inches

When i first started archery i left my arrows full length for the couple extra grains of weight, now i cut them down and add weight

But i was only getting about 18 grains, now they are cut and i add 50 grains

I wouldn't leave them long to gain weight. If your looking for more weight I would just cut arrows to length and the add weight. Bigger grain BH or use the deep 6 end, just like NebMo said.

I shoot 29" arrows with a 29.5" draw. I've heard that longer arrows are generally more forgiving. Whether that's true I couldn't say for sure

Made it to Colorado. Elk hunt starts tomorrow. It's my first elk hunt so I plan to hold out for a bull the first few days but I'm more interested in bringing home some meat so I'll be happy with a cow. I'll be posting pics and videos on Instagram and Facebook...@HuntTheBreak

    Talk to y'all later!

Would an elk count for 50 points? Guess I should read the rules

Putting the plots in the ground tomorrow! I decided to break the ground and go with standard application. The two plots cover around 1.5 acres total. Here is a list of the items put in the ground tomorrow.

2 gallons of Plot Starter by deer grow

    7lbs of purple top turnips

    35lb of buck forage oats

    25lb Imperial Pure Whitetail Attraction

    300lbs 17-17-17

I wish we would get some rain. Been waiting 2 weeks for a good rain so I can plant. Hope your plots do well!

You can have some of ours from western NY. It's been a very wet year.
