I am thinking of getting a Red for my bow. I know with the Red dot scope you don't need the peep site and with the red dot site you still need it. Who uses these? Let me know what you have and how you like it. Thanks

I think the K.I.S.S. rule applies, here. (KISS-Keep It Simple Stupid)

A projected red dot for hunting is illegal in every State I've ever hunted(albeit, that does not include many Sates).

The "Hot Dot" or whatever its called. A site that uses non-projecting det dots on a clear window/screen(glass), instead of pins- I've seen that. My friend used/uses this site.

It works, for him, however- why increase the amount of things that can go wrong ? I dont want to bring anything extra in the woods that relies on batteries or more advanced mechanics, to function.

More things going on, more things that can go wrong.

Nothing wrong with a regular "pin site"........Just my opinion.
