I have a Red 40 and love it ... I just bought an MP-E5 brand new at a killer price .... what differences will I see?

The Red40 takes a much better picture. I don't think the MPE5 takes video and the Red40 takes HD video plus has audio. There are way more settings with the Red40 as well. The MPE5 is a hell of a camera for the money though. Have fun with them.

Well Tom Nailed it of course, but don't be fooled the picture quality on the MPE-5 is fantastic. The options, is where it lacks and only where it lacks IMO

Any one seen any good camera deals around lately? I guess it is the wrong time of year for any really great sales.

I do NOT see any difference in quality between either cam ... in fact, the night pictures are clearer on the MP-E5??

All in the set up. I set the MPE5's close to target area. The best night shots on the MPE5 are from a cam mounted 8 feet up angled down using the ground as a backdrop for the IR's which results in better night photos. The Red 40's I set anywhere as with those LED's the night shots will be lit no matter what and I run the Red's with the IR's set to half.
