Do what ya want, not sure if it would even work though....why would you want a drop away on a recurve, just curious?

I am looking at options. I'm new to this game and still figuring out what I don't know.

How does that work for ground stalking. I've been pistol hunting for the last few years and cannot
stand hunting from a stand. I'm looking to one that might hold the arrow securely whilst I'm moving.

A far as i know a mech rest wouldn't work anyway.
The rest needs to be tired of to the cable which you don't have.
Personally i shoot off the shelf. On the ground was never hard for me but i also hold my recurve at about a 10 degree angle when i shoot.

Just put your finger on the arrow while stalking.....pretty simple! I hunt Deer, Rabbits, Pheasants and everything in between.......by this method never an issue!

Trad archery is meant to be simple, if you want to fit a drop away rest, why not buy a compound?????..... just sayin!!. Shoot off the shelf and like Joe said, place a finger on the arrow to stop it coming off till you're ready to take the shot.

Well, each type of arrow rest has pros and cons to consider.
