No, but I wish I had the extra $250 bucks to spend right now, and I would take my Moultrie I60 back to Cabelas and upgrade to the Reconyx. I have seen so many good reviews that it is just driving me nuts, but it is also up towards that price range where a game camera goes from something neat to a huge chunk of cash sitting in the woods begging to be stolen.
I'm in the same boat you are. I want to pick one up, they're just too dang expensive for my tastes right now. From what Todd has said from the first one he's tried the thing was super easy to set up and from what I've seen it takes great photos. Like anything in life, you get what you pay for!
At this point i am very impressed with this camera, this is the first that I have tried since camtrakker and really like it. Very easy to use right out of the box. Great photos and worth the money. I will get another for testing purposes.
Too much money, no way I am going to strap $600 to a single tree just to have a thief walk off with it. Maybe someday if they come up with gps tech to give me some peace of mind. I would be dangerous if cam of this $$ walked off
I have only heard great things about them. Everyone that I know that uses them will not use anything else. Check out some of the reviews online and you will see just that. I had a Pro shop owner tell me that they are the best trail cameras on the market for setting up over a food plot. I agree with JZ, you get what you pay for and this is the Crème de la Crème of trail cameras.
Probably nothing in regards picture quality they seem about the as good as the rest of em. except they seem to take a lot of pictures. Other Guys can talk about trigger types and speeds ..I don't get into ten tech specs as much as some do. What I really like is how trouble free they are, with two being 10 hours away in Ohio and my other two on my CT property which is two hours away. I have yet to go have them not work. I can't say the same about my other cams I have close to my home.
Gotta be honest, I can have four Coverts for the price of one Reconnyx and the Coverts have performed great.
The strong suit of the Reconyx is not the quality of the pics but the sensing area and trigger speed. Plus the reliability is really second to none. I think there are many commercial cams out there that have as good or better daytime pics and really if Reconyx has a weak point, it would be their IR pics. I have a Reconyx and when you scroll through the pics, the camera is so fast, it's almost like watching a video. It also has a zero recovery time so it really never misses anything. I'm not trying to start a problem with anyone who owns other brands, I'm just answering the OP's question. I have owned probably 20 different brands of cameras and none of them have ever come close to the reliability of the Reconyx. BTW, why was this thread resurrected? Blessings.........Pastorjim
