I've been buying Reconyx camera's now since 2007 (I have 3 of them). Just this year I had my 1st problem (150,000 pictures later easily) with one and It was the 2006 model RC60 that I bought In 2007. The filter on the daylight pictures quit working. I called Reconyx and told them what was going on and the age of the camera. He said send It In and they will fix It for nothing and also that they would updated the camera's features for nothing. This was on a Thursday and I told him I needed It back the next Friday being bear baiting was starting. I got It back on Thursday. This camera was way out of warranty but they warrantied It anyway without me even asking. I was willing to pay to have It fixed otherwise.

There's lots of good trail camera companies out there these days but I just thought I'd tip my hat to Reconyx again but this time not because there a great camera but Instead for their great customer service.

Great first hand review Schultzy! I have no doubt Reconyx's are good, and you just confirm that even more!

I'm not surpirised at all by that Steve. I too had a problem with my RC55. I called them and they told me to send it in and they fixed it, no charge. It was also out of warranty. Thing of it was, I may have caused the problem and I told them that up front. It didn't matter to them, they stood behind the product. I think the best part was being able to talk to someone who actually built the camera instead of some order taker who had no idea of what the problem might be.

    Blessings........Pastorjim

Awesome Steve O.....I'm all about customer service! I like the RC cameras but a bit too pricey for my wallet! Good luck with the bears brother!

I have heard nothing but good things about reconyx. I need to stop messing with the cheaper cameras and pull the trigger on the reconyx. I hve missed alot of pictures from my bear baiting this year because of faulty cameras or faulty operator. Do you use a bear protection cover with your reconyx when bear baiting?

    Most definitely.

Exactly. From what I'm hearing that's exactly what Covert does as well.

Ive always wanted to try Reconyx but just can't justify spending that much. Definitely worth it though if they have that kind of customer service.

You could buy a new bow for the price of one though but I guess its better then buying a cheapy and if it breaks then its done then you have to buy another one.
