I'm looking for recommendations on a decent blind. I've had a Barronett Big Mike which I bought because you could stand while shooting. But now I'm using a crossbow and the Big Mike is just about worn out. I don't want to break the bank with a Double Bull or something similar but I would like to have something with a little better material than what the Barronett was made from. Any suggestions?

    Blessings.........Pastorjim

I have 2 Ameristep Bone Collector that I use for turkey hunting. Got both on sale/clearance for $120-130. I am happy with them. Big enough to shoot out 2 sides with my bow and 3 sides with my shotgun. I just looked at Ameristep website, the Element is what they call it now. No bone collector logo to black out either.

Nap 2 Hub blinds are nice. I will be buying one soon. I also like the Rhino XP-1. They are easy to setup and no zippers. I love the Predator camo out of all their selections.

I'm a big fan of the Ameristep Dog House blinds, there is enough room for me to shoot my compound out of so there shouldn't be any problem with a crossbow. The material is half decent I haven't had any problems with dry rot or very much water leakage when it rains but i do spray it with some type of tent sealer. The best part was i picked it up on sale for around $50.00.

I think Barronett makes one with heavier fabric.

I was pretty happy with the NAP Mantis this Spring. We killed a few turkeys out of mine and it worked very well. There's a few tweaks and improvements I think they could make but overall for the price I think it's on par or above in terms of quality. The material is heavy duty and due to the design you shouldn't have to worry about snapping poles if you leave it out during a snow.

I've owned two Ameristeps and they were both destroyed in one season leaving them out, so I'm done with those.

I do still own a Primos blind that I like a lot as well.

I have The Double Bull Bullpin. It's quite a bit cheaper than the deluxe. I'd love to get a look at the surround view 360 but it's pretty pricey.

I went with the Blackout brand last year and love it. It has the adjustable windows like the double bull has. It also is made out of a much thicker material than most of the blinds in the same price range. Its also very roomy and could hold 3 hunters. I have the blackout hybrid 180.
