I'm the market for some good bowhunting gloves. I usually wear a really thin/lightweight grip pad glove, but they're not much more warmth (even on "mild" cool fall days). I don't really want to hunt barehanded (just a part of my superstitious ways...I don't like exposed skin when hunting;)), so I'm looking for a good set of gloves that are somewhat breathable and warm for cool fall weather (no need for winter conditions since I have a pair for that). Any recommnedations or do most of you just opt away from the gloves? :)

I like under armour gloves. they're thin but still good for fall hunts as long as the temp stays out of the 30's

Insulated camoskinz. I hunt in them from October to January.

I saw that UA has 2 sets of gloves on the market... Regular stretchy ones with the rubber nodular grip... And a more expensive pair with some kind of leather palm.

Will the leather ones dye my hands when they get wet? Anybody have a pair?

Nothing gets me more pissed off than removing my gloves from my cold, wet, clammy-ass hands, and revealing 10 coal-black stained fingers.

What do you have for gloves now, Quick?

Rybo, how are the camoskins breathable wise?

I love the camo skinz. Even in warm weather your hands don't sweat. And in cold weather they are thick enough to keep em warm long enough. Pockets & handwarmers are still your friend when its real cold though.

Matt - I have a ton of gloves, and I don't like any of them. Either they dye my fingers, or they don't fit right, or they don't breathe right... So I just wear whatever.

I do have a favorite glove, I think it's an old Scentblocker glove.. I lost the right one, so I only wear the left. I do like that glove, but it's damn-near destroyed. Holes all over it.

UA works great for me, a couple hands warmers and I'm good to go when the temps dip into the teens!

Another vote for the UA thin "rubbery" gloves. I actually wear them all season long. When it gets really cold....I break out the handwarmers.

I have a pair of the under armour stretchy ones. They are pretty lightweight and warm.

Have you tried the muff route? :D

I wear thin UA gloves, and when it gets cold I wear a HSS muff to put my hands in. It works amazingly well.

I have a couple of different gloves. I have Scentblocker, Primos, and UA. I personally think the Scentblocker and UA gloves are better then the Primos ones.

Another vote for the muff. I wear very thin gloves made by Remington with a leather palm, and a very thin material kinda like bucksuede (but thinner) on the top half of the glove. They are thin enough that I wear them year round. When it gets cold, I wear the muff and throw warmers into it.
