Looking to buy a cam for recording my hunts, looking for used canon vixia sf21. Any thoughts on this cam? Other recommendations? Complete rookie with videography. Budget is fairly flexible but want to film my turkey and deer hunts to share with family and friends.
I would recommend a Sony model hdr-cx 110 for a perfect lower end budget minded camera it records in full 1080 is nice and compact has a fairly decent internal mic as well , it is lacking a mic input but to start out the internal will serve you fine imo. whats really great is it offers a AV/R input for a wired remote that will clamp to your pan handle of your fluid head and makes filming funtions simple to find with very little movement while hunting ... remotes will run between $25 and $ 50 for the sony brand .... you can pick up the 110 on ebay for around $150 - 200 dollars all day long so I hope this helps ya ... good luck
also can pick up a quality fluid head for around $85 or so well worth the money when panning in the field
myself and my bro use a great little head we found for like $40 really a great head super smooth pans and really well built for the money if your interested il send u the linc
no problem ... shortly ill post the one for the controller we use as well awesome for the money great funtions has manual focus speed control as well as camera on/off , record start / stop , wide / tele toggle great unit and I believe it has a PHOTO capture button as well cant beat it for the money
