I got some rechargeable Lithium batteries for xmas. I know my Moultries will work with lithium, but will other/older cameras accept them too? Anyone use rechargeable batteries for their trail cams??

I use rechargeable batteries and they seem to work fine in my Moultrie M-80's, My Bushnell Trophy Cams, and my Covert MP6. Ive never seen the rechargeable Lithiums though. Mine are the NiMH.

Yeah, they're not lithium. They said ion core on them so I thought they were lithium. My bad! Thanks for the response!

With so many cameras out, I use nothing but rechargeables. I don't know of any camera they won't work in. One thing I will say is that they won't show full on the battery meters in most cameras but believe me they last just as long. Stay away from the cheaper store brands. The better ones are Enelope, Tenergy, Imedion, and a few others. Rechargeables are a bigger investment up front but they pay for themselves in no time.

The only issue I've had with rechargeables, is that they didn't perform as well in cold temps. I'm talking 0 to -30. I don't remember what brand I had though.

I will be 100% honest that we don't utilize rechargeables, nor do we always use top brand batteries. I buy bulk store brand batteries and most of our Coverts operate year round on just two sets of batteries...sometimes three depending on settings of the camera.

We don't use rechargeables. We buy the Duracell's and they last around 14 months in our coverts.

I'm about 50/50 in my cams between rechargeables and alkaline batteries. It seems like the rechargeables hold up a little better during the winter and the alkalines do a little better during the summer. As pastorjim said, don't go cheap, you really get what you pay for when it comes to rechargeable batteries.

They each have their advantages. The rechargeables will pay for themselves and you don't have to go running to the store to pick up more. On the flip side I can grab a couple of packs of alkalines of the shelf as I'm headed to the woods and they're ready to go, don't have to recharge the day before heading out. I run a high volume of cams and it's nice to have the alkalines to fall back on not if but when I forget to charge batteries.

Thanks for all the responses, everyone! For now, I'm gonna try out the Duracell rechargeables that I got. I'll look into some higher end ones too though!

I use both lithium and rechargeable batteries. The rechargeable are ENELOOP and I have had good luck with them in subzero weather but never had them out for more than two weeks then so I am not sure how long they will last. The lithium's I use last almost all year.

The lithium are not rechargeable but I do know that they make them in rechargeable but too pricey for me.
