I saw this buck on Nov 17 chasing a doe around and fighting off three smaller bucks and kept contemplating whether to shoot him or not when he decided for me and ran the doe off another direction. Set up a late bow stand and he showed up a this past week in the morning. Not sure what happened to his other side but in June he had what looked to be a weird 5" spike beam coming out his right side which was gone when I saw him in Nov. Hoping he gets both sides in next year, really nice public land buck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If he was a spike on the right side that early, he probably has a damaged cuticle on that side and probably won't grow a normal antler there. You never know for sure though, even if it's never "normal"...it could do something funky and cool.
