Received my IL tags today.

Woo Hoo!

So who wants to host me early in IL if I tag out early in PA. I'm off the first two weeks in Nov and promise not to shoot anything under 150 and a full rack only. :d

 

I find both of them very hard to believe. I would like to see both of them come to be thought bud.

LOL! So a solid 140 walks out at 20, stands broadside... and you DON'T shoot him?

 

I can't burn my tag prior to hunting with my friends etc...so I'm saying yes, but I need to tell it's a 150, not a 140....that's my story and I'm sticking to it! :d

I only have access to public in Illinois so I can't be of much help. Good luck though! If anyone has access to any private in IL and wants to share you know how to reach me!!! LOL

 

I wish you were hunting a bit further down south Rob, so you could hook up with Matt and me. Guess we'll have to wait 'til the goat trip. Got your form picked out yet? :D

 

I got a buddy who lives about a half an hour away from where you're hunting (near Lanark right?) I'll see if I can swing a weekend of hunting up by him so I can say hey to ya. The only problem is it's the weekend before the Illinois gun season so I'll have to swing that weekend then an extended bow/gun weekend back to back.......might be difficult

I'll let you know how that shapes up as we get closer to that date. There are some nice deer out that way Rob, It's how I got to hunting that area in the first place (little further west) I was duck hunting with my buddy who lives out there, we were in a duck blind just off of the Mississippi (in one of the many backwaters and slews)and we saw some simply awesome bucks that weekend. My buddy says to me "Why don't you come out and do some bow hunting sometime" I've killed a ton of does and a nice buck out of that area 135-140ish. He had the antlers nailed to his cabin till one day they disappeared.

Rob - we're definitely gonna try to hook up while you're here. Todd's place is a hop skip and jump over the hill from where you'll be hunting, and it's only about 1 1/2 hours west of our office. I should be home from Campbell's on the 9th through the 12th so I will try to swing out there if possible. I may just use filming at Todd's place as an excuse to get out of the office for awhile. :D

 

Try to get over to film Rob........I want to see what he does when that first 'Tweener' shows up that's like a 129" 8pt on his 130" minimum land.

It's not that far away however I'll make a big post as time nears as well. I'm sure we're all really looking forward to the season. If I tag out in PA in Oct I'm off the first week of Nov and I'll head out early and do as much as I can and see as many of you's as I can. I would really love that.

 

Looks like I'll proabably miss you Rob. Unless Johnny and I both tag out in Ontario before we head to Illinois, we'll be back in Ontario by Nov 8th.
